NORTHERN TERRITORY
At a glance: The current HomeGrown Territory grant offers $50,000 for eligible first-home buyers building or buying a new home, including eligible owner-build and off-the-plan pathways. The earlier $10,000 established-home HomeGrown grant ended 30 September 2025 and is no longer a current offer.
What is available now: HomeGrown Territory
Current first-home buyer support includes a $50,000 HomeGrown Territory grant for eligible buyers building or buying a new home, including eligible owner-build and off-the-plan pathways.
New vs established homes
The current $50,000 grant is for new homes (including owner-build and off-the-plan) only. Established-home purchases do not currently qualify for a HomeGrown grant.
Residence
Current HomeGrown grant rules require principal-place-of-residence occupancy for 12 months under the updated arrangements.
How this can work with federal support
The $50,000 HomeGrown grant can potentially combine with the 5% Deposit Scheme for a new-home purchase where you separately qualify for both.
What to confirm before signing
- that your purchase is new, owner-build or off-the-plan, not established
- the current 12-month principal-place-of-residence occupancy requirement
